Letter from Pastor Unger

Dear Members and Friends of Messiah Lutheran Church,

Beloved in the Lord.

I am writing today to encourage your hearts with the proclamation of our faith in Jesus Christ.

We have been going through a period of physical separation and yet it is my hope that you continue to remember one another in your prayers and in small acts of kindness one to another.

It has been a difficult time for many and yet it is my hope that God has met you in all the places of your greatest need.

We have attempted to stay in touch with you all by personal phone calls by the elders and myself and through the use of the internet, our weekly services and our Zoom meetings.

We shall meet again soon in person and it will be wonderful in God's sight and important for our spiritual well being.

The Lord is near to each of us and I pray that your time of confinement has been used to get closer to our Lord and to rest in His goodness and peace.

P.S. We will be discussing, in the light of the new ruling from NYS, our service schedule and the ramping up of our programs. More news to follow.

Romans 8:37-39

No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor demons, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

Welcome to Long Island in the name of Christ, Our Risen Saviour!
